ORDINANCES
We believe that there are only two ordinances for the Church regularly observed in the New Testament: i) Baptism, which is the immersion of the believer in water, whereby he obeys Christ's command and sets forth his public identification with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection and is the sign of belonging to the new covenant community of Christ. ii) The Lord's Supper, which is the memorial wherein the believer partakes of the two elements, bread and cup, which symbolize the Lord's body and shed blood proclaiming His death until He comes. Matt 28:19-20; Acts 2:41; Acts 8:36-38; Rom 6:3-4; Col 2:11-12 Matt 26:26-29; Mk 14:22-25; Lk 22:19-20; 1 Cor 11:23-30
